After three very successful runs in North America it is finally time for the SKA IS DEAD Tour to venture across the sea. This time around the tour will feature long time SKA IS DEAD veterans The Planet Smashers and Mustard Plug, but also out for their first tour of the UK, Bomb the Music Industry. Representing the UK, the tour will also feature some of the best of the genre on various shows, including The Scrub, Random Hand, The King Blues, The Upgrades and Free Fall Felix and The JB Conspiracy.
If you are not yet familiar with the tour, SKA IS DEAD started in February 2004 as a means of reinvigorating the US ska scene. Over the course of the next 3 years it has done just that, selling over 54,000 tickets at 128 shows. The tour has featured the very best of the genre including The Toasters, Streetlight Manifesto, Catch 22, Mu330, Big D and the Kids Table, The Voodoo Glow Skulls, Suicide Machines and of course The Planet Smashers and Mustard Plug. It has also received glowing press in places such as Amp Magazine, Pollstar Online and Skratch Magazine. The tour has also gone on to produce on of the busiest ska sites on the web, www.skaisdead.com as well served as the inspiration for many other subsequent ska package tours around the world.

The CircuZ KumP drama company has managed to convince (and corrupt) us to collaborate with them in order to transform a turbid and tormented reality, the one of the freaks of the beginning of the XXth century into a concept album! Two years ago (yes, with a gun pointed straight to our temple), we started exploring an historical period and environment that have always appealed to us: the 'cabarets macabres' and fun fairs of the beginning of last century in Paris. We felt the urge to turn into music the universe of Atget, an anomalous artist who, unlike his contemporaries, felt the wish, through his photographic objective, to capture the state of grace of some places, persons and situations that had always been considered of scarce interest. And who, better than Baudelaire, has managed to portray a similar universe within his verses? "The spleen of Paris" has been our guide and some of its poems have become the lyrics of our songs. Exploring the 'ghost cabarets' that animated the nights of Boulevard de Clichy, we disappeared into a nocturnal environment both gloomy and sparkling of unnatural colours, a distorted dimension where each mask, drama, jest and tear turned into a grotesque and amplified representation of life.”
Men, dogs, exotic perfumes, acrobats in decay, green-eyed enchantresses, cloud sellers and stranglers in love come into existence behind the threadbare fabric of a torn curtain rather than on the un-nailed planks of a worm-eaten stage. Identifying with the artists of that time, CircuZ KumP and Ataraxia have written a collection of songs that could have been played at the beginning of the xxth century in the Cabaret of Heaven rather than in the Tavern of Crooks. Is it folk? Yes it is...accordeon, trombones big drums and cymbals are at the menu! Is it crazy? I suppose it is if Ataraxia have managed to demolish their reputation after quite a serious and long career .

Foundation Hope was formed in 2003 by Joep Smaling. Trying to reflect the sharp contrast between religious/illusory thought and the crudeness of everyday reality and mankind musically. At the same time it is a question on what the fundaments of our hope are, in times when not only parts of the world are at war or otherwise suffering, but also wealthy individuals in western secularised civilisation seek relief in anti-depressants and are aware of the hollowness of consumerism and hedonism, living in a world gone mad without the belief in a purpose to it all. This was the basic, albeit somewhat pretentious, idea behind the project. Luckily, music speaks no language and can induce mood and feeling directly. So listeners might as well abandon the whole idea behind Foundation Hope and interpret the drones, strings, melancholic tunes, confusing vocal-samples and cinematic moods as they wish. May the aural presence of Foundation Hope bloom in their heads and cause whatever it causes. Music is, after drugs, the strongest weapon when it comes to mood-engineering. The material has been mastered by Peter Andersson. Foundation Hope released its debut album A Call To All Redeemers on the French Divine Comedy Records in January 2006. Recently also two tracks appeared on the Book-cd compilation Pere Lachaise (Divine Comdey/Steinklang). Before the debut, two promo's were made, respectively titled Broken Sounds Set To Despairing Melodies and The Forsaken Playgrounds. Both are sold out.

O.R.E. continue their march amongst seeming polarities - of creation and destruction, of dark and light, of joy and sorrow, of sex and war- toward the Coniunctio Oppositorum, the conjunction of opposites. Their seventh full-length album is an opus of decadent beauty, of shining darkness, of fierce eroticism, of dreams, of blood, sperm and fire. Despite these familiar themes, Apocalips is also more grippingly personal and melancholic than previous records - perhaps reflecting the personal apocalypses of its creator, Tomas Pettersson. Having refined their sound to yet again new levels of clarity and completeness, Ordo Rosarius Equilibrio continue in their tradition of sound, the instruments ranging from drifting acoustic guitars, piercing percussions, lush pianos and strings to the fittingly decadent samples (including the ever-present Saloon Kitty) and above all the deep voice of Tomas Pettersson, delivering his poetic diatribes and evocations via spoken word, and even more than on previous works, via singing. The tracks on Apocalips range from ferocious and yet tender to more tribally industrial and aggressive rhythmic soundscapes, from "My Venus in Furs", inspired by the old Velvet Underground S&M classic, to the ending track "Who Stole...", which is possibly the most beautiful (and most sad) Ordo Rosarius Equilibrio song thus far.

In the current strident flow of industrial music releases a few persons will most likely forever stand out as being more invigoratingly dedicated and for always having a fingermarked touch added to their outcome. Make no mistake, BDN are certainly among them. This grudgy long playing vinyl disc is painstakingly minimal in it´s structural form, maybe not what you expected and better off for it. With it´s dense soundscapes, dark and dirty oppressive atmospheres, "1890" feels almost like an unpleasant rebirth. The obscene themes and selfexposing vocals has taken a step back, now instead letting the music talk for itself. The pattern here is obvious, from the first track´s surprising enigmatic deep factory hummings to the fantastic muffled outbursts of the last. Given the right time, this new album soon will be regarded as one among the classics. This is nothing less than pure industrial muzak for the awakening of your soul.

SHOCK NAGASAKI will be hitting European shores for a 4-week tour,

News From THE BOILS!!
The latest news from the BOILS' camp is that the band has gone through some line-up changes recently, and are now playing out with two new guitarists and a new bass player. The new, improved line-up featuring bassist Eric and guitarists Bert and Oscar (what happened to Ernie and Big Bird?) debuted over the Summer. The new blood has added some dynamic musicianship to the band. The BOILS have also recently wrapped up production on their new CD EP of "Hockey Anthems" for the Philadelphia Flyers. These songs can currently be heard at home games at the Wachovia Center in Philadelphia and on TV broadcasts of the matches. The new CD will be in stores January 9. Musical main influences are the classic Punkrock and Oi! bands of the early eighties like "Angelic Upstarts", "Cockney Rejects", "Cock Sparrer" as well as bands like "Blaggers I.T.A." or "Leatherface".
By integrating the saxophone the band has created a very own melodic style of music, which can't be seen as pure punkrock music anymore.
The band members all have different political backgrounds starting from some members being left wing to others, being non-political, but they have one thing in common : the hate for fascism which they express in some of their songs. But politics is not at all, so they sing as well about problems of life like trouble with coppers and state, drinking and having party time and so on.
